Beer & Bread explores the relationship between artwork and the social situation of an exhibition opening by bringing refreshments, seating and work together. In this instance the artwork becomes as much a support for human interaction as the refreshments and seating are to the work.

By offering a display of and 'made' or embellished refreshments the intention is to bridge the separation from the notion of work; inviting the audience to exist within the space and unashamedly use it as a framework for social interaction.
